Training

At SBMAT we invest heavily in ensuring that leadership at all levels is supported by high quality training, professional dialogue and opportunities for collaboration, observation, modelling, and support.

We have our half termly Church of England Education Leadership Network group led by Sara Goddard our Principal at Kingsland CofE Academy and a current SIAMS Inspector.

Sara Goddard visits all our Church Schools to work alongside them to ensure they can live out their theologically rooted Christian vision and are flourishing and living life in all its fullness.  Starting from September 2023 we will start our peer support network visits to work hand in hand with our trust leaders to ensure we are offering the very best support and developing best practice to share more widely with other colleagues, schools, and communities.

We enjoy the support of the Dioceses of Lichfield through Matthew Welton, Alex Wolvers, and Vickie Longson.

We have our exciting new Peer Chaplaincy programme starting in July 2023.

A Christian Distinctiveness Committee has been created which will hold leaders to account and report to the Trust Board on the effectiveness of the theologically rooted Christian vision of SBMAT and church schools.
