Fantastic Start to the St Bart’s Trust Sporting Competitions!

On a cold Wednesday morning school teams from the St Bart’s Trust turned up to Dimensions at Tunstall to take part in the first annual football tournament. Parkhall, St Nathaniel’s, Belgrave, Nantwich, St Michaels, Cranberry, Offley and Kingsland took part in a year 5/6 boys and KS2 girl’s football competition which over 100 children attended. Fifteen school teams in total played some very competitive and organised football with some schools only competing in their first tournament.

Mr Hulme and Mr Bloor (St Nathaniel’s) had organised a fantastic event for the girls and boys involved and even though we had an extra team in the boy’s category the day ran without incident. Mr Hulme had organised a prize and trophy for the winners who were Cranberry for the girls and Parkhall for the boys. Having said that all of the children were brilliant throughout the day and gave a great example of how to behave away from their own school.

Many parents came to watch and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed the day and without question wanted to do it all again. A big thank you goes to all of the staff who came along and for their help in organising the day!
