Teaching & Learning

The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust seeks to ensure that its academies maintain a relentless and rigorous focus on raising standards in order that all their children receive high quality teaching every day. The curriculum is a skills-based, integrated curriculum, which aims to give every child the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

In all our academies we promote a calm, safe, learning environment. Although learning aims to be active and fun, from an early age pupils are taught how to return to a place of calm reflection.

Inclusion

The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust academies are non-selective learning communities that value the abilities and achievements of all their pupils. Staff are committed to providing for every child the best possible environment for learning. Recognising the entitlement of all pupils to a balanced, integrated curriculum reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive.

Releasing Potential

All St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust staff are considered to be leaders. In our organisation “Leadership is a Choice not a Position”. It is the duty and responsibility of all Trust Employees to drive their Academy improvement agenda.

The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust is committed to investing in its workforce. With the partnership of Bart's Training & Support Alliance (BTSA) the preferred approach is always “to grow our own” – employing staff at the beginning of their careers and investing in them so that they become high-calibre professionals. Providing professional development and promoting clear succession planning opportunities across the St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust is a way of recruiting and retaining the best staff.

A Well Maintained Physical Environment

Children and staff of St. Bart’s Academies deserve to work in a well-maintained physical environment.  Our goal is to provide a first-class environment for a first-class education.

Consistency of Approach

Involvement in The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust requires that partner Academies maintain consistency within their own organisations and across the Trust.
